175 people attended the First Annual IVC Children’s Champion Luncheon on October 24th, where Congressman Mike Simpson received the 2008 IVC Children’s Champion Award from IVC President Hollis Brookover. Congressman Simpson was chosen for this award because of his strong support of the reauthorization of the State Children's Health Insurance Program (S-CHIP). Congressman Simpson also gave a heartfelt speech at the event, and offered his thoughts about what we can do to create the best possible outcomes for our children. |
